On February 23, 2026, just after noon, a paramotor crashed on the riverbed of the Tone River in Koyama, Bando City, Ibaraki Prefecture. The pilot lost control and crashed from a height of approximately 10 meters while attempting to land. According to the pilot's statement, he was in the process of landing when he lost balance at about 10 meters altitude and fell.
