High — very likely identified

Dustin was flying and performing low wingovers near the ground at a field in Maricopa, Arizona. He had landed briefly to offer a fellow pilot (who was filming) a Gatorade, then took off again. Within less than 5 minutes of his second takeoff, he went down while doing 'one too many' low wingovers. Witnesses ran to him immediately upon seeing him go down, but it was already too late. The witness describes seeing someone they knew and cared about 'going to the ground that fast' as a traumatic experience.

Pilot was performing low wingovers close to the ground. The accident occurred during one of these maneuvers, described as 'one too many.' The low altitude left no margin for error or recovery.

YouTube Video: REST IN PEACE MY GUY | DUSTIN APGAR | PARAMOTOR PILOT Uploaded by: DANIELO STAYBAD Upload Date: April 27, 2021 Description: March 27th, 2021 at 9:45am our friend Dustin lost his life in a paramotor accident. Before people start assuming, he was doing low wingovers and went down, everything happened in about 5 min. I had just been recording him flying with his dog Cassie, he landed asked me if I wanted a Gatorade since he knew I was filming all morning I said no thank you so much bro. right then he went back up and in less than 5 minutes he was down. Few of us ran to him as soon as we saw him going down but it was already too late. Please make a conscious effort to fly safe and for the long haul! Think about everything else in life waiting for you.
